Once thought of as an industrial application, today insulated metal wall panels are commonly used to enhance the exterior of a building. These panels provide multiple functions such as the exterior skin, interior skin, and the R-values at the exterior wall. These systems can also be engineered to reduce framing commonly needed for other wall systems. This is why insulated metal panels have become a cost effective wall application as well as provide an aesthetic value to the building. These panels provide designers flexibility because they can be installed both horizontally and/or vertically.
Aluminum composite panels can be installed in either a wet (with sealant at the joints) or dry application. These panels are ideal for custom module sizes and curved applications. ECMC works with quality fabricators for complicated designs and has the capacity to fabricate small and simple designs. Depending on the design needs of the project, these panels can also be cement panels or have a wood finish. There are numerous systems on the market with which we have experience.
These panel systems are becoming increasingly popular because they can provide aesthetics to the building at a much lower cost than insulated or composite panels. Depending on the designer’s intent, there are numerous applications and profiles of Single Skin Wall Panels such as standing seam panels, concealed, and exposed fastener panels. Most of these panels can be installed vertically or horizontally .
With the aid of our CAD department, ECMC also has an extensive amount of experience designing, fabricating, and installing custom cornices. These cornice systems can be a great long-term solution for building owners by minimizing the framing, eliminating all wood products, and using a Kynar paint finish.
ECMC uses state of the art shop equipment to custom fabricate all types of specialty trims, cornices, and sheet metal components. Our coil line and 20’ brake allow us to fabricate long lengths to minimize labor and lap joints in the field.
